(KSL News) A federal judge has sided with a suspected terrorist who lived in Utah for years.
Shawqi Omar lived in Utah in the 1980's and attended Utah State University for a short time. He's under arrest, in Iraq, accused of being a senior associate of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of the insurgency there.
Today, the judge granted a request from Omar's family to keep him in military custody instead of turning him over to the Iraqi government.
