(KSL News) It's Child Passenger Safety Week, and experts have some reminders about car seats.

They say hand-me-down seats are a bad idea. It's possible they've been damaged, or are too old.

Make sure the safety seat is properly installed.

Experts Issue Reminder About Child Car Seats

They even suggest having an expert like a police officer or a hospital worker quickly check to make sure the seat is put in correctly and up to standards.

On Thursday, American Fork will hold free car seat inspections from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gene Harvey Chevrolet.
