WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Rescue crews have pulled a baby from the Virgin River in Washington County.
Just before 10 p.m. a Life Flight helicopter was dispatched to the river near Springdale and La Verkin in Southern Utah. Authorities told KSL the baby was found near Sheep's Bridge.
Details are preliminary and there is no word yet on the baby's condition or how long it may have been in the water.
In the past several weeks, five children have fallen into Utah's waterways and died, and still others have needed rescue crews to pull them out.
