CLEVELAND, Feb 5, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Almost all U.S. men and women plan to send Valentine's Day cards this year, finds a poll by American Greetings.
Nearly 70 percent of all women and 60 percent of men said they plan to send both paper cards and electronic greetings this Valentine's Day.
The survey also revealed that the holiday is more than just about romance, while spouses and significant others still receive the highest percentage of valentines, family and friends are a close second.
About half of all women said they would also send valentines to their female friends, children, parents and grandchildren.
Men named Angelina Jolie as the celebrity they would most like to send a valentine to, but more women said they rather exchange valentines from Oprah Winfrey than from Brad Pitt.
But men like Oprah too, she tied for third with Nicole Kidman and Terri Hatcher as the celebrity men would most like to send a valentine.
