TOOELE -- Two people died as a result of a Sunday afternoon accident when a car got pinned under a semi-truck on I-80.
The driver of the car tried passing the semi-truck, but lost control, forcing the car to roll before being wedged under the semi and bursting into flames, Troopers said. The semi driver tried slamming on his brakes, but couldn't stop before the car hit the semi.
The accident shut down the freeway for a short time while emergency crews cleaned up the scene.
