COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — Police arrested four Brighton High School students for purposely jumping through a vinyl fence in Cottonwood Heights.
Surveillance video captured the teens charging through a man's vinyl fence. After local news outlets published the video, police were swamped with tips.
"One of them identified the two females that were on the video, which let us to them at Brighton High," said Cottonwood Heights Police Sgt. Dan Bartlett. "From there we were able to discover that there were more kids at Brighton High that were involved."
Police say it was a prank that started months ago and students targeted this fence simply because it was a long one.
The four Brighton juniors face criminal mischief charges, and police say there will be more arrests coming.
