CHICAGO (AFX) -- Media and entertainment stocks closed mixed Friday, with Gannett Co. among the gainers after its report of better-than-expected fourth-quarter results.
Gannett shares closed at $63.60, up $2.59, or 4.3%.
Among decliners, CBS Corp. was down modestly to close at $26.80 after it said late Thursday that it plans to divest its theme parks business. Viacom ended the day higher, up 19 cents at $43.29.
