(KSL News) A man accused of starving his girlfriend's disabled daughter while the mother served in Iraq does not want to face a jury of his peers.
Michael James Bowden, 26, has requested a bench trial when he faces charges of second-degree felony child abuse later this year.
Bowden was arrested last August when it was discovered 5-year-old Jade Anzures had dwindled to just 13 pounds under his care.
Jade suffers from cerebral palsy and Bowden claimed she just didn't want to eat.
