SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Utah teenager has pleaded not guilty to first-degree felony murder and other charges in the shooting death of a high school classmate.
Ricky Angilau entered the pleas Friday in 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City.
Angilau was 16 when prosecutors say he fatally shot Esteban Saidi, also 16, following a January 2009 fistfight outside Kearns High School.
Angilau is now 18. He's also facing charges as an adult of second-degree felony obstruction of justice and carrying a concealed weapon, along with a misdemeanor charge of possessing a firearm on a school campus.
If convicted on the murder charge alone, Angilau could spend the rest of his life in prison.
Judge Sheila McCleve set another hearing in the case July 1.
