SALT LAKE CITY — A fight over name-calling of another man's girlfriend lands one man in the hospital in critical condition.
About 10:30 p.m. Friday, a man started arguing with a woman near 900 South and 300 West after the woman called the man's girlfriend a name, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Shawn Josephson.
The man slapped the girl in the face, Josephson said. At that point, another man "came to the woman's defense" and stabbed the man who had slapped her, he said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Urbano Ramirez was arrested for investigation of aggravated assault.
