PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- Actor Robin Williams wasn't on hand for the premiere of the movie "The Night Listener" at the Sundance Film Festival.

He was filming another movie in Canada.

Director Patrick Stettner apologized that his star was unable to attend the festival.

In the movie, Williams plays a late-night radio host, who strikes up a long-distance friendship with an ailing boy and his adoptive mother. The mother was played by Toni Collette, who didn't attend the premiere, either.
