DRAPER — An altercation resulted in the death of an inmate in the Utah State Prison Wednesday night.
The altercation happened in the inmates cell shortly after 5:30 p.m., said Department of Corrections spokesman Steve Gherke. A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene. The prison is under lockdown.
An investigation is ongoing and information will be posted as it becomes available.
