(AP) -- One of the three men authorities say are connected to a Mexican drug cartel has pleaded not guilty to cocaine trafficking charges in federal court in Rhode Island.

Adilson Antonio Reyes, described as a truck driver from South Ogden, Utah, entered his plea Monday.
Court records show that Reyes is scheduled to change his plea to the charge on May 11. But his lawyer, Steven DiLibero, said the date for the plea-change hearing had been canceled.
Reyes and two men from California were arrested in January after an investigation led by state police.
Police seized 65 kilograms of cocaine, worth $6.6 million, in what they called one of the state's largest drug busts. They also seized $1.25 million in cash authorities say the men were going to smuggle to Mexico to support the cartel.
