FARMINGTON — A home was seriously damaged during an early morning blaze in Davis County. A passerby called the fire department around 7:15 a.m. after noticing smoke coming from a home located near 100 East and 600 North in Farmington.
Fire chief Guido Smith said crews arrived within nine minutes and found flames on all three levels of the home. Kaysville and South Davis Metro Fire crews assisted, extinguishing the blaze in about 40 minutes. The occupants of the property — who were away on vacation — have been notified and are on their way back home.
Officials said the cause of the fire was not suspicious and there were no injuries. Damage is estimated at $130,000.
