(KSL News) The number of candidates running for Salt Lake City Mayor totals nine right now, and we have new poll numbers tonight.
In a survey conducted this past week for KSL-TV and the Deseret Morning News, a majority of those polled say they are quite interested in the race.
If the election were held now, here's how the candidates would fare:
- Jenny Wilson would get 23 percent of the vote;
- Dave Buhler is at 19 percent
- Ralph Becker and Keith Christensen both get 13 percent;
- The other five candidates fall way back. There are a lot of "undecideds" right now; 26 percent of those polled haven't made up their minds yet. The field will get narrowed down in the September primary. The top two candidates will then face off in November.
