I told you I was taking a Carribean cruise...we'll I'm back. I have to tell you it was a fantastic time. I sailed on a 7-day voyage out of Galveston, Texas. The nice thing about this one is you have two days at sea to enjoy yourself (and stuff yourself full of great food). But it was great to go to several nice ports as well.
The ship stopped in Montego Bay, Jamica, Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel, Mexico. I'll write more about my time there later...but for now let me tell you about the ship.
It's about 14 decks high, and can carry roughly 4-thousand people. It has eight restaurants, four pools and a twisty water slide! It's really a city at sea...where you can do anything. The cabins are a little small...but you don't want to spend much time in them. The food was really good (especially the midnight buffet) and the atmosphere was fun.
One of the striking features about the ship was it's nine-story atrium...with glass elevators. It's really amazing to look at. But I was most impressed with the retractable sun roof, that closed on the rear of the ship when it rains (fortunetly, that didn't happen often).
More to come...
