(KSL News) A newlywed couple traded in their chance to swim with dolphins for a stay at the hospital.

Ryan and Danielle Loumis say they had a great time at their wedding Saturday, even though Danielle's legs had hives and swelling due to some type of vascular disease. Danielle said, "They were black and blue. My pants weren't fitting on me because they were so swollen."

Danielle checked into LDS Hospital right away with Ryan, who canceled their honeymoon to Cancun.

Even though this isn't their ideal honeymoon, they are still able to laugh about it. Ryan says, "Yeah, we've been laughing the whole time about it. Just saying we're going to tell our grandkids someday. You know, just trying to keep each other up."

Doctors told Danielle she's not contagious and can probably leave the hospital tonight.
