LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- A traffic stop led to a large prescription drug bust in Smithfield.
Police say they noticed a man in the parking lot of a Sinclair gas station, passed out inside his idling automobile one early morning last week.
The man appeared to be under the influence and when officers searched his car they found cash, syringes and more than 800 pills that were amphetamines and opiates.
The 27-year-old man from Sandy was arrested and faces 15 first-degree felony counts of intent to distribute amphetamines.
Police say the pills appeared to have been stolen from a Preston pharmacy and could have a street value of more than $10,000.
