ENCAMPMENT, Wyo. (AP) -- A Utah company plans to operate a sawmill in Encampment to process beetle-killed trees from the Medicine Bow National Forest.
The Rawlins Daily Times reports Thompson Logging expects to employ 15 to 18 people by mid-April at the sawmill.
Company president Terry Thompson says the company expects to be able to operate for years in the area because of the massive amount of beetle-killed timber.
