(KSL News) It may not feel like Christmas outside today, but that didn't stop Santa from coming to town!

Mr. and Mrs. Claus paid a visit to kids at the Road Home Shelter in Salt Lake City, and they came bearing gifts. The event was put on by the Salt Lake Board of Realtors as a way to give back to the community.

Jeannie Gamble, chairman of Christmas in July, said, "Everybody thinks of the people in the shelter through the holidays, through Christmas, Thanksgiving, times like that. That's the biggest time for donations. Most people don't think about people throughout the summer, so we thought it was our chance to do something special for them."

The Board of Realtors also used donations to remodel a playroom at the shelter.
