LEHI — A woman is dead and a man was flown to the hospital in 'extreme critical' condition after a double shooting Tuesday night.

Police received a call shortly before 9 p.m. about an argument and gunshots heard from a residence located at 1891 S. 575 West. When police arrived, they found a woman dead from a gunshot wound to the head, sitting in the driver's side of a Jeep in the driveway.

Police say they found the woman's husband sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle with a gunshot to the head, but alive.

The man, who police say is 27 years old, was flown to a local hospital and is in extreme critical condition.

When asked about the possibility of a murder-suicide, Lehi Police Lt. Darren Paul said, "It's still to early to say exactly what it is."

Police say the woman who reported the gunshots is the man's sister. Investigators think the man had been staying at the house, but are unsure if he is the owner.
