(KSL News) Two brothers were in federal court today on pornography charges. The federal complaint charges an Ohio-based company called "Movies by Mail," managed by Sami and Michael Harb, with selling obscenity.
The movies were mailed to an address in Salt Lake City as part of an FBI undercover investigation. The Harb brothers face up to five years in prison for providing what's called "extreme and degrading" material.
The Harb's attorney says there's nothing uncommon about the material in question. "It is adult, sexually-explicit material, the same type of material that is available from thousands of other companies throughout the country," attorney Gerome Richard said.
Defense attorneys say they believe the first amendment protects their client and that the material is not child pornography.
