NEW YORK, Jan 5, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Harry Connick Jr. is starring in the Broadway revival of "The Pajama Game" and composing his second original musical.

Connick's first musical was the 2001 Tony-nominated "Thou Shalt Not."

Despite its Tony nomination for best musical score, "Thou Shalt Not" was panned when it opened Oct. 25, 2001, and closed after only 85 performances.

After the show closed, Connick said it was a great learning experience.

He told Playbill his second project isn't ready yet, but he is looking forward to being around Broadway more.

The revival of "The Pajama Game" will mark Connick's Broadway acting debut in the role of Sid Sorokin.
