LAKE POWELL — A fire destroyed four houseboats and a personal watercraft docked in the Wahweap Marina Wednesday, officials said.

A witness of the fire, Bob Runia, said he and his party first noticed the fire about 4:30 p.m. They called marina emergency personal, and a marina fireboat responded. National Park Service fireboats also responded.

The houseboats were fully engulfed by the fire crews arrived, but there were no injuries and no one was onboard at the time, the National Park Service said.

No word yet on what the damage will cost the boat owners.
