SALT LAKE CITY - A crash involving nine vehicles shut down several lanes of northbound Interstate 15 Friday afternoon.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash -- which involved three semitrailers -- occurred near 8100 South around 12:18 p.m. Troopers say it happened in a line of traffic that had backed up as a result of two other crashes north of the area.
Only one minor injury was reported. Troopers closed three northbound lanes to clean up the mess.
