Ingredients1 frozen pie crust, baked
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pound sweet Italian sausage, browned
2 egg yolks
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup plus a little whipping cream
2 tomatoes, halved and sliced
Dried oregano
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place pie crust on baking sheet. Put sausage and cheese in pie crust.
- Beat together egg yolks, egg and salt. Mix in cream. Pour into pie crust.
- Place tomatoes in circular pattern on top. Sprinkle with oregano.
- Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake another 40 minutes.
- Let stand for 10 minutes. Serve warm for breakfast or dinner.
