Kim Mulvihill ReportingPeople who find out they have an STD can send an anonymous e-card to all the people they have slept with. The card urges the recipient to go to a clinic to get tested

The email alerts recipients they have contracted an STD and may have passed it on. Health officials say the E-cards help people avoid face-to-face situations, which often deter them from telling their partners about their STD status.

The cards allow the sender to add a message and identify the STD they have.

The website is targeted towards gay men, however anyone can use it. It's endorsed by the LA Health Department and the AIDS healthcare foundation.
