KAMAS -- Search and rescue teams from both Summit and Wasatch counties located a snowmobiler Monday morning who spent the night in the mountains.
Officials from Wasatch County Sheriff's Office reported that the search began around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after the man's uncle called in saying that he and his nephew had been separated by a storm.
Two "hasty" search teams were dispatched to the Nobblets trail area and searched a number of trails in the area, but had to call it quits around 10 p.m. "due to the lack of visibility and poor weather conditions."
Teams resumed their efforts Monday morning, focusing on the Soapstone region of the Uinta Mountains. They were able to locate the Murray man in the Rhodes Canyon area around 11 a.m.
"The victim was in good condition other than being wet and cold," according to a statement from the sheriff's office. "It appeared he became stuck in the snow."
No one was injured in the search.
