National BMX event coming to Utah

Gilbert , Arizona —June 8, 2007 — The American Bicycle Association (ABA) "The Sanctioning Body for BMX"© has just completed a replica of the 2008 Olympic BMX (Bicycle Moto-Cross) track in Salt Lake City , Utah . The track will allow World Class riders and teams to train for the upcoming 2008 Olympics in China , where the sport of BMX will make its debut.

The new training track is located at "Rad Canyon BMX", a state-of-the art facility in Salt Lake City , Utah that currently hosts weekly racing. This facility will host the new Olympic practice track side-by-side with its current BMX track. With acres of paved parking, the "Great Salt Lake Nationals", a Pro Spectacular and the Utah State Championships this summer, the "Rad Canyon" BMX facility is the place for BMX action!

"The ABA is making every effort to ensure that the BMX riders representing the United States have the most accurate replicas of the Olympic track in which they can train. We are hoping for Gold from our riders who qualify for the 2008 Olympics and we are also looking to promote the sport of BMX to its fullest.", stated Clayton John , President, ABA . The track will be fully utilized by athletes and by the ABA , as it hosts a Pro Spectacular on the track Saturday, June 30th, 2007 as part of the ABA Great Salt Lake National event.

The new Olympic level track adds a great deal to the facility and is expected to draw hopefuls from around the world who want to ride the replica track.
