(KSL News) -- A former Utah high school track star is at the center of a hate crime investigation in Colorado.

Jacqueline Zeigle is accused of sending a threatening letter filled with racial slurs to a Hispanic student at the University of Colorado.

This weekend Zeigle dropped off the school's track team as a result of the scandal. Zeigle graduated Bingham High School in 2001.
