(KSL News) -- A dog missing since before Thanksgiving apparently wandered nearly 700 miles from home.
Casper, a yellow lab, belongs to a family in Georgia. A police detective found him in the Indianapolis suburb of Greenwood last weekend.
Eric Klinkowski, Greenwood Police Dept.: "I called it over to me it came right up and it had all the information I needed to get a hold of the owners on its collar."
Casper is believed to have hitched a ride on a semi-truck to reach his destination.
Officer Klinkowski plans to return Casper to his family on his way to police training in Florida.
