DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES' alternative wedding gown is going under the hammer at an auction in London.
The dress served as a model for alterations on the DAVID EMMANUEL gown Diana wore when she exchanged vows with PRINCE CHARLES in 1981.
The gown, which has been in the possession of London's Madame Tussauds waxworks museum, is expected to be the highlight of the celebrity clothing auction at the Proud Gallery next week (beg05DEC05).
Other items on offer include a vest worn by JAMES DEAN in cult movie GIANT and JACKIE KENNEDY ONASSIS' maternity dress.
Fragments of Diana's actual wedding dress were sold on internet auction house eBay for a staggering $2 million (£1.1 million) earlier this year (05). (KL/LA/ES)
