OREM -- Orem police are looking for a man who shot a 17-year-old boy Friday night

The shooting took place around 5 p.m. outside of an apartment building near 1500 South and 50 East.

Sgt. Craig Martinez of the Orem Department of Public Safety said, "The victim and the shooter are acquaintances and they were involved in a verbal and physical altercation in the apartment."

One teen walked out of the apartment and shot the other in the shoulder then ran away.

The victim was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He is expected to be OK.

Police know who the suspect is and are looking for him.
