LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON -- UDOT officials spent the day preparing for Utah's upcoming winter.
Portions of Little Cottonwood Canyon were closed Wednesday while crews test-fired the big avalanche control guns.
When the snow falls, UDOT will shoot the guns about 20 times in Big and Little Cottonwood canyons.
