SALT LAKE CITY — A man was taken to University Hospital in serious condition Sunday after being stabbed.
The man told police he was in front of a restaurant near 600 East and 400 South when a transient man approached him and asked for money. Getting none, the transient man reportedly stabbed the victim in the abdomen and ran away.
Salt Lake Police Lt. David Cracroft said officers used K-9 units to search the area but did not find the suspect, described as in his 40s and of average build.
