SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah Highway Patrol is hoping new photos of a man who stole a school bus from the Canyons School District last week will help lead to his arrest.

Troopers say they have received several leads in this case but have not been able to track down their suspect. They're hoping new pictures will provide the public a clearer picture of who he is.

The photos show a man with a shaved head entering the Canyons school bus around 3 a.m. on Oct 14. He's wearing a jacket, jeans, and it appears he's carrying a bag.

The is is pictured shirtless, revealing several tattoos on his arms and another on the left side of his chest.

Then about a half an hour later, the man is pictured shirtless, revealing several tattoos on his arms and another on the left side of his chest. Troopers say it appears the tattoo on his chest begins with the letter D.

Another 30 minutes later, two more photos reveal a clearer picture of the man's face. He has a goatee and brown hair.

Shortly after those photos were taken, the man stole the bus. He led troopers on a chase down Interstate 15, where he sideswiped a Taylorsville K-9 officer's vehicle. The chase then continued onto westbound Interstate 80 and onto Redwood Road, where the pursuit was called off when the bus ran a red light.

A few minutes later, Salt Lake City police located the bus a few blocks away. It was crashed into a tree, and the driver was nowhere to be found.

If you recognize the man in these photos, troopers want to hear from you. All you need to do is contact your local police department.
