SALT LAKE CITY -- Time magazine is shining a spotlight on Utah Senate candidate Mike Lee, listing him in its "40 under 40" list.
The list includes 40 political and civic leaders under the age of 40 who are expected to have great influence on the country in the years ahead.
In a press release, Lee's deputy campaign manager Ryan McCoy said, "Mike is obviously flattered with his inclusion on the Time list and feels the honor is simply a reflection of a committed campaign, timely message, dedicated staff and an unrivaled volunteer force which has captured the attention and imagination of Utahns as well as individuals across the country."
Lee toppled incumbent Sen. Bob Bennett in the primary election and is now facing off against Democrat Sam Granato for Utah's junior Senate seat.
