(KSL News) -- A man charged with automobile homicide could get out of jail before his trial.

Police say Jeremy Reed was intoxicated when he hit Gregorio Rodriguez on the first day of school at Hunter High School student. Rodriguez was killed instantly.

Reed's been held in jail on 50-thousand dollars bail. But last month a judge cut the bail in half, and imposed conditions for Reed's release -- like house arrest.
