SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 36-year-old Salt Lake City man has been ordered to stand trial on felony automobile homicide and other charges in a high-speed Interstate 80 crash that killed a passenger in another vehicle.

A judge set arraignment Nov. 1 for John Featherstone Bishop in the April 1, 2009, crash that killed 26-year-old Jason Palmer.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Bishop also faces drunken driving, hit-and-run and reckless driving charges.
A couple testified at an evidentiary hearing Wednesday that Bishop's car slammed into the back of their BMW, causing the fiery crash that left them injured and Palmer dead.
Authorities say Bishop's license had been suspended after a drunken driving conviction a year earlier.
