TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) -- Authorities released the name of a 4-year-old girl who died in a fire in a condominium.
Kylee Smith died Wednesday, less than two weeks after her birthday.
"Bless my little angel's heart," said Kylee's grandfather, Gerald Skinner, who placed flowers and a stuffed bear against the building.
Kylee's mother, awakened by a fire alarm, took her 3-year-old son out of the condo but could not get back into the building because of extreme heat, said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Jay Fearnley.
The agency released Kylee's name Friday and said the cause of the fire was unknown. Twelve families were displaced. "No suspicion of arson or criminal intent has been found," the fire department said in a statement.
Two memorial funds have been set up in Kylee's name to help offset funeral expenses.
