SALT LAKE CITY -- A crash on the tarmac at Salt Lake International Airport ended with a man being taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The man was driving a tug, which is used to pull planes onto the concourse, when he crashed into a plane.
Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann said the driver suffered a full cardiac arrest and lost control of the tug.
The plane was parked and empty at the time, so no one else was injured.
Gann said the plane suffered substantial wing damage.
