OGDEN -- The Ogden High School student body officers proudly presented a $5,000 check to Utah philanthropist Spencer P. Eccles at their Homecoming assembly Friday.

Eccles told Ogden High students if they raised $5,000 for the Ogden High school campaign he would give a $1,000 donation of his own to the school.

Ogden High is trying to restore the school auditorium to its 1930s splendor and is asking alumni and the community to help preserve the school.
