SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The YMCA of Greater Salt Lake has received a $30,000 grant to support nutrition education.
The grant comes from the Dannon Company, a yogurt maker with offices in Utah.
The grant will fund the YMCA's Start America initiative, which is designed to help more than 500 area children and their families with opportunities to improve fitness and nutrition.
Community and company leaders are presenting a check to YMCA CEO Rich West at a ceremony Friday during an open house for the new YMCA Community Family Center in Taylorsville.
