When people have confidence in their appearance, particularly their teeth, the way they feel about themselves, both personally and professionally, is affected. That, in addition to health benefits, is why many dentists would tell you it's important to take care of your teeth.

But sometimes, despite even the best care, patients still find themselves needing dental work. When that happens, cutting-edge dental laboratories like Lakeview Dental Lab in Lehi are needed. Lakeview Dental Lab specializes in making high-quality dentures, crowns, veneers, bridges, and more for local dentists using computer-aided design.

Owner Matt Azure does his best to stay on the cutting-edge of dental equipment technology. For example, he and his business partner, Tadd Casper, recently invested in new equipment that allows them to make dental implants or crowns from a digital image. He is also adept at working with zirconia, the latest material used to make dental implants. The zirconia helps patients avoid allergic reactions to metals found in many dental fill products.

Matt has been in the dental laboratory business since the early 1980s. Originally, he went into business with his brother-in-law, a dentist, at a small practice in Idaho that had a dental lab. There wasn't enough work to keep the two of them busy so Matt and his wife moved to Provo, where he worked for a commercial lab for seven years before starting Lakeview in 1987.

Lakeview Dental Lab recently merged with another lab in Lehi called Royal Crown. The partnership has been mutually beneficial and helped both businesses in areas where they were struggling. Matt and Tadd follow a customer service model they call the Triangle of Success. On top of the triangle is quality and the other two corners are price and time. All three are needed to create the best possible product at competitive pricing. The model has helped Matt better serve and communicate with his customers.
