(KSL News) Members of Utah's military gathered today to honor the men and women who have fought and who are currently serving around the world.
Many gathered at Murray Park for the 6th annual Armed Forces Day. The event included dancing, music and games. But more importantly, it was a chance for civilians and soldiers to come together and show support.
Sgt. Jeff Johnson said, "We want to show we're humbled, we're proud to be Americans."
Tonight several Desert Storm veterans will receive a special award for their service.
There will also be a fireworks show and concert at the Murray Park amphitheater. The concert starts at 7:30 tonight, followed by the fireworks.
