FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Davis County has called off its limited ban on firing guns in the Wasatch Mountain foothills.
The Davis County Commission repealed the two-week old ban on Tuesday.
Gerold Hess of the Davis County Attorney's Office tells the Standard-Examiner that the county realized it didn't have the authority to amend an existing ordinance.
Gun enthusiasts complained about the Davis County move, saying it was not allowed under state law.
People living in the area pushed for the county to extend the ban because of stray bullets that hit their homes.
