SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Salt Lake City officials are preparing to deliver 33,000 yard-waste recycling bins to homes that don't already have them.
The bins will be delivered beginning this week.
The program is part of Mayor Ralph Becker's recycling efforts.
Residents who don't' already have the brown can will be required to pay an extra $4.75 a month. The 20 percent of household that already have a bin will pay another $1.25 for expanded service.
The billing changes occur Oct. 1.
