SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah Gov. Gary Herbert and Lt. Gov. Greg Bell will host the 5th Annual Native American Summit.
The summit will occur Sept. 1-2 at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. It is intended to be a forum for the exchange of ideas between participants, presenters and others interested in Native American issues.
The event will include presentations by keynote speaker Lance Morgan, president of Ho-Chunk, Inc. and representatives from Utah's seven tribal governments.
Presentations will focus on health care, education, economic development and homeland security.
