PROVO -- The Boys and Girls Club is all about enriching and empowering lives, but Thursday it was all about who could do the most damage to a car.
The organization held a Car Smash Bash in Provo to raise money for its Utah County chapter. Local small business owners paid $5 to take out their frustrations by beating up a beater car, and all for a good cause.
"The premise of this, we want to raise as much money for the Boys and Girls Club without them having to spend any money to do so," said Mark Romney, a member of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County.
The Boys and Girls Club of Utah County serves about 2,000 children with its summer and after-school programs.
