Man Arrested in Connection with Triple Shooting in South Salt Lake

Whit Johnson ReportingA man is behind bars for a deadly shooting that happened in broad daylight just over a week ago.

Man Arrested in Connection with Triple Shooting in South Salt Lake

Thirty-five-year-old Jason Kyle Clark was picked up by narcotics officers with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office yesterday as part of a separate drug investigation.

Clark was booked into jail on several charges relating to a shooting that happened at 126 East Sunset Avenue on April 29.

Fifty-year-old Kevin Brent Kone was shot and killed. Two women were hospitalized. Capt. Tracy Tingey of the South Salt Lake Police Department said, "These guys and women have been working extremely hard to try to identify these suspects. This is the beginning of the end, I hope, in regard to this investigation."

Tingey also said he expected to make additional arrests in connection with the shooting.

Authorities recovered a vehicle that had two guns inside. It's unknown if those handguns were used in the shooting.
